Surveyors Discover World War One Submarine

In order to guarantee nautical depths, the Rijkswaterstaat survey department runs an annual seabed monitoring programme. In July 2019, research vessel MS Arca left its home port of Scheveningen, the Netherlands, to conduct a shipwreck survey that included a World War One submarine. 

As an executive agency of the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, Rijkswaterstaat facilitates smooth and safe maritime traffic in the Dutch North Sea. One of its activities is an annual seabed monitoring programme. 1. SÍNTESIS

El día 7 de enero de 2021 el buque BENTAGO EXPRESS estaba finalizando el viaje entre Santa Cruz de Tenerife y Agaete (Gran Canaria). Durante la maniobra de entrada al puerto de Las Nieves en Agaete, ciando y con mal tiempo, el buque no pudo dar los cabos de amarre. El fuerte viento hizo abatir el buque hacia babor llevándolo contra la baja de la Marina Norte, donde quedó embarrancado. Tras varios intentos infructuosos por salir de la embarrancada por sus propios medios la tripulación dio aviso de la emergencia a los medios de salvamento. Regulation 21 Casualties
 
(a) Each Administration undertakes to conduct an investigation of any casualty occurring to any of its ships subject to the provisions of the present Convention when it judges that such an investigation may assist in determining what changes in the present regulations might be desirable.
(b) Each Contracting Government undertakes to supply the Organization with pertinent information concerning the findings of such investigations. No reports or recommendations of the Organization based upon such information shall disclose the identity or nationality of the ships concerned or in any manner fix or imply responsibility upon any ship or person.

EL MSC LORENA remolcado a Ferrol

 

 

El buque "MSC Lorena", bandera de Panamá, ha sido conducido al puerto de Ferrol, después de haber sido solicitado asistencia por parte de su capitán, tras haber quedado sin propulsión cuando se encontraba al Norte de Malpica.

El portacontendores de 275 m de eslora y 32 m de manga, navegaba desde e puerto ingles de Felixtowe y se dirigía a un puerto de Turquía.

                                                                          

El barco permaneció a la deriva entre las17-30 UTC del día 13 de Octubre y las 23 horas UTC del día 14 de octubre de 2022.

This publication contains statistics on marine casualties and incidents which: involve ships flying a flag of one of the EU Member States; occur within EU Member States’ territorial sea or internal waters as defined in UNCLOS; or involve other substantial interests of EU Member States, as reported by Member States in the EU database for maritime incidents EMCIP (European Marine Casualty Information Platform). The figures from the EMCIP database cover the period from 1 January 2014 to 31 December 2020. The year 2020 appeared to have been a positive year considering the decrease or stabilisation of most of the indicators, such as the number of occurrences, ships lost, fatalities or injuries.
