Spain Labor Costs Fall At Faster Rate In Q3

Labor costs of Spanish enterprises dropped at a faster rate in the third quarter from a year ago, figures from the National Statistics Institute, or INE, showed Wednesday.
Total labor costs declined 0.4 percent year-on-year in the third quarter and stood at EUR 2450.10 per worker a month. In the second quarter, costs had decreased 0.1 percent.
The wage cost per worker per month also fell 0.1 percent annually, while other costs dropped by 1.5 percent.
Labor cost in the service sector fell 0.7 percent annually in the third quarter. Meanwhile, labor cost in the industrial sector increased 1 percent and those in the construction sector rose 0.4 percent.

Another Intercontinental Rail Freight Route Opens
CHINA – SPAIN – Having covered the approximately 13,000 kilometres between China and Spain, the first freight train to directly link the two countries has arrived at its final destination in Madrid after completing the test run of a planned regular service which would become the longest railway route in the world. Laden with over 1,400 tonnes of goods, the train took around 21 days to reach Adif’s Madrid Abroñigal railway logistics terminal in Spain, where it will now prepare for the return leg, carrying some of Spain’s more famous exports including wine, olive oil and cured ham.
