El pesquero "MI LALITA" , con base en Almería ha quedado al garete al SW de Cabo Roca. Ha acudido en su auxilio la embarcación de salvamento marítimo "DENEBOLA" y lo remolcado hasta el puerto de Almería.

Salvamento Marítimo que dispone de los detalles del accidente, continúa su política de limitar la información que trasmite a los medios.

Calls to Execute Captain of South Korean Ferry “Barbaric”

The International Organization of Masters, Mates, & Pilots (MM&P) has voiced alarm at reports that prosecutors in South Korea are seeking the death penalty for the captain of the ferry Sewol, which sank in April killing more than 300 people.

Prosecutors have charged Captain Lee Joon-seok with homicide for leaving the vessel “without making any efforts to rescue passengers” and have asked that he be put to death. They are seeking life sentences for three other members of the crew and terms of between 15 and 30 years for 11 crew members who were tried on lesser charges.

La sección primera de la Audiencia Provincial de A Coruña, que preside el magistrado Juan Luis Pía, ha revocado el sobreseimiento provisional de la causa por la muerte del peregrino italiano Gulio Recusani en Fisterra en agosto del 2010. En el auto dictado hace unos días le ordena al Juzgado de Instrucción número 1 de Corcubión que practique las diligencias interesadas por la representación legal de Angelo Recusani, el padre de Gulio, que ostenta la letrada Begoña Barredo.

Esas diligencias estarían destinadas a determinar qué entidad

IFSMA: Sewol captain's sentence is too severe

International Federation of Shipmasters' Associations (IFSMA) has termed the sentence of Sewol ferry captain as a "travesty of justice".

Lee Joon-seok, captain of the sunken South Korean ferry was sentenced to 36 years in prison by the South Korean court for gross negligence over deaths of more than 300 people. IFSMA felt that the sentence of 36 years was "too severe" for the 69-year-old captain Lee.

Un marinero filipino, de 56 años, del buque carguero Golden Traver 1, fue evacuado ayer al Hospital Doctor José Molina Orosa, de Arrecife, en el helicóptero Helimer 210, de Salvamento Marítimo, después de que el buque contactase con Salvamento sobre las 01.55 horas. El marino sufrió una afección cardíaca cuando el barco navegaba a unas de 30 millas de la Lanzarote. Marcos Álvarez Morice
