La travesía del Dácil desde el puerto vasco se realizó controlada por las autoridades marítimas

El buque tanque Dácil, con bandera española, navegó cargado de productos químicos desde el puerto de Bilbao hasta A Coruña con uno de sus dos motores averiado. El quimiquero zarpó del puerto vasco y a los pocos minutos su tripulación descubrió que uno de sus dos motores que mueven la hélice tenía problemas.

Ante esta situación, el capitán del Dácil decidió arriar anclas en el fondeadero vasco y reportó el problema a las autoridades marítimas. La Empresa Portuaria San Antonio, a través de su jefe de coordinación naviera, Felipe Berríos, señaló que la maniobra del buque MSC Margrit en la que se le ve pasar muy cerca del car carrier Morning Chorus se efectuó de acuerdo a los protocolos establecidos. 

Las declaraciones fueron emitidas, luego de que el jueves se viralizaran una serie de videos y fotos del portacontenedores, de 366,45 metros de eslora y 48,26 metros de manga, ingresando a San Antonio Terminal Internacional, momento en que se le ve aproximarse al autero que estaba operando en el espigón de DP World San Antonio.

Durban - It took three days, but “by the grace of God, we swam until we reached the shore”.

That was said by stowaways Hassani Rajabu, 24, and Amiri Sarumu, 20, who survived those three days at sea in March after being chucked overboard in South African waters by the captain and crew of a Chinese vessel.

Rajabu and Sarumu pleaded guilty in the Durban Magistrate’s Court yesterday to being in South Africa illegally and for stowing away on a vessel in Durban harbour in March.

The master of the APL England appeared in court in Australia to face charges related to the loss of containers from the ship during an incident on May 24 southeast of Sydney, Australia. At the same time, the ship’s operators also issued statements acknowledging the accident while defending the actions of its crew.

Two charges were brought against the master.
