El rechazo explícito de la Corporación de Prácticos de El Musel al acuerdo suscrito por la Autoridad Portuaria de Gijón con Sasemar sobre control del tráfico dentro del puerto, iniciativa de la que en su día informó ELCOMERCIO, ha sido no sólo secundada, sino también seguida, por la Federación de Prácticos de Puerto de España, que ha denunciado el caso ante la Comisión Europea, el presidente del Tribunal de Cuentas y el director de Competencia de la Comisión Nacional de los Mercados y la Competencia.

Building on the success of the popular Seacrewsader 275N, the new lifejacket will appeal to companies that require a compliant lifejacket to satisfy regulations surrounding PPE assessments. It is aimed primarily at the oil and gas, commercial shipping and offshore wind farm industries.

The new JET1200 buoy from Hydrosphere

Aids to navigation company Hydrosphere will launch the latest in navigational aid technology at Seawork 2015.The new type of buoy, the JET1200, is from Mobilis for which Hydrosphere is the British representative.

It has a 1.5m diameter hull size with 1200kgs of buoyancy and is constructed entirely from polyethylene.

“This is a brand new buoy which hasn’t been seen before,” said Hydrosphere MD, John Caskey. “There’s no metal used in the buoy’s construction at all making it lightweight and corrosion free. The design and manufacturing process incorporates a rotationally moulded central structure meaning the buoys are moulded making
