El petrolero Grinch llegó fondeado al Golfo de Fos el 24 de enero, tras ser interceptado dos días antes en el Mar de Alborán por la Armada Francesa para la verificación de bandera y controles judiciales. Su capitán fue puesto bajo custodia.

El Grinch Petrol fue fundado en el golfo de Fos-sur-Mer el sábado 24 de diciembre de 2026, lo que luego podría ser puesto en conocimiento de las autoridades judiciales francesas. Fue escoltado por un buque de apoyo y asistencia metropolitana (BSAM) de la Armada Francesa, así como por medios de la Gendarmería Marítima, incluyendo la patrulla de vigilancia marítima costera (VCSM)...

La Verdad de Ceuta

La Dirección General de la Marina Mercante, la Sociedad Estatal de Salvamento y Seguridad Marítima (SASEMAR), la Autoridad Portuaria, Protección Civil y el SEIS de la Ciudad Autónoma de Ceuta, la Delegación del Gobierno, Emergencias 112 y otros organismos, entidades y empresas van a llevar a cabo entre hoy y mañana un simulacro de fuga de amoniaco en un buque que se halla fondeado en el Puerto de Ceuta.

UK Marine Accident Investigation Branch (MAIB) has updated its data, revealing a total number of 1,521 marine occurrences during 2025, compared to 1,510 in 2024 and 1,586 in 2023. 

Merchant vessels overview 

According to the MAIB overview, of the total 1,521 occurrences, 880 concerned merchant vessels. Of the total 880, 596 marine incidents were reported. In addition, 249 incidents were classified as less serious, 30 were considered serious, and 5 were categorized as very serious, involving significant consequences such as loss of life, vessel loss, or major environmental impact.

Various major projects for the People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) have reached fruition in recent years. Alongside these developments, it has become increasingly common to see defense media and commentary write about a supposed fleet size or shipbuilding advantage for the PLAN, often relative to the U.S. Navy.
