Ante la irritante pasividad de los responsables, la compañía Trasmediterránea, también conocida por Acciona, ha duplicado sus precios en 24 horas.

La sinrazón principal es que aprovechan el regreso de los inmigrantes a Europa para hacer caja, pero con este abuso temporal perjudican igualmente a los sufridos viajeros cautivos que somos los ceutíes. De 62 euros por un coche y conductor Ceuta-Algeciras, cobraron el pasado viernes 29, nada menos que 132 euros. Y esperaremos a ver la reacción de las otras navieras.


Las compañías marítimas perciben por el viaje de los ceutíes la misma cantidad que de los no residentes, una parte al comprar el billete y otra vía subvenciones. Por tanto, cuanto más caro es el billete más

Debt holders in A.P. Moeller-Maersk A/S (MAERSKB) are looking on as the world’s biggest shipping company uses its excess cash to enrich shareholders in a strategy shift that threatens to cap its bond gains.

Chief Executive Officer Nils Smedegaard Andersen said last week he will start the Copenhagen-based company’s first ever“formalized” share buy-back program, purchasing $1 billion in stock, or about 2 percent of Maersk’s market capitalization. According to Nordea Bank AB, Scandinavia’s biggest lender, the move means there’s now no prospect of the ratings upgrade some bondholders had been hoping

Iberia abandons shipping

A boutique US investment bank appears to have pulled the plug on a campaign to expand its presence in the shipping industry.       

          Iberia Bank, which is based in New Orleans, launched Iberia Capital in 2010.       

In an alert issued by analyst David Beard Iberia Capital Partners said it was dropping research coverage of the shipping sector due to a “reallocation of resources” but failed to elaborate further.

Prior to the announcement the firm followed both tanker and bulker stocks. The list included the likes of Frontline, Nordic American Tankers, Knightsbridge and Diana Shipping, among others.

El Govern paga 29,5 millones a las navieras

efe | palma­El Govern balear ha saldado 26,6 millones de euros de la deuda que tiene pendiente con las navieras por la bonificación del billete a los residentes y está tramitando el pago de otros 2,8 millones, con lo que la puesta al día de dichos abonos ascenderá a 29,5 millones. El Govern incluyó en los presupuestos de 2014 el cien por cien de la partida necesaria para pagar estas cantidades.
