 EQUINOR

Se han adjudicado seis contratos a cinco armadores, por un valor total estimado en más de 2.500 millones de coronas noruegas, incluidas las opciones.

Los seis buques de suministro de plataformas serán gestionados por Simon Møkster Shipping AS, Island Offshore Management AS, Eidesvik AS, Remøy Shipping AS y P/F Skansi Offshore.

Los contratos entrarán en vigor antes de finales de 2022, tienen un periodo de tres años en firme y tres opciones de un año. Los buques apoyarán las actividades de Equinor en la plataforma continental noruega.

American maritime unions the Seafarers International Union; the American Maritime Officers; the International Organization of Masters, Mates and Pilots; and the Marine Engineers’ Beneficial Association have issued a joint statement in response to the Biden Administration’s “temporary and targeted” Jones Act waiver that allowed a foreign tanker chartered by BP to transport diesel to Puerto Rico from Texas. Heerema Marine Contractors has installed Total Energies’ biggest Tyra II

Heerema Marine Contractors has installed Total Energies’ biggest Tyra II topside – the 17,000-tonne TEG module – using its vessel Sleipnir.

 

 

 

The processing module arrived at the Tyra field from Indonesia on October 3 onboard the heavy transport vessel GPO Emerald. The offshore crew then started to remove the sea fastening below the 47 m-tall unit ready for Sleipnir to lift the module, transport it one nautical mile to the bare jacket, raise the module by 9 m and then lower it onto the six legs.

According to Heerema, the lift of the TEG module broke a world record as the heaviest crane lift ever undertaken at sea.

In the coming weeks, the final Tyra II pieces – two bridges and a flare
