David Cameron has been accused of sacrificing the future of Gibraltar. Andrew Rosindell MP made his comments just days after the Government confirmed it would not take Spain to the European Court over its repeated flouting of British sovereignty in Gibraltar.
“The fact is that the FCO does not want to upset Spain. And the truth behind this is that it’s all tied in with Britain’s wheeling and dealing over the EU. Gibraltar is just a pawn,” said Mr Rosindell.
Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond has been tasked with visiting 13 nations, including Spain, over the next two months to discuss David Cameron’s EU reform plans and emphasise “shared issues”
Mr. Rosindell added: “If reform of the EU means that we have to sacrifice the rights

LONDON – There is something rotten about the European Union’s debate on migration. The continent’s political leaders, paralyzed by the rise of anti-immigrant populism, are turning their backs on desperately vulnerable people fleeing war, human-rights abuses, and economic collapse.
Nowhere is the human cost of European policies more visible than in the Mediterranean Sea. The waters between Europe and Africa are the world’s deadliest migration route. Roughly 300,000 people are estimated to have made the crossing in 2014 – more than twice as many as in 2013. Some 3,000 died from drowning, hunger, exposure, or asphyxiation.
Most migrants set out from Libya, which has emerged as the center of a multi-million-dollar human-trafficking industry. Until recently, most migrants setting

“Just sit right back and you’ll hear a tale,
A tale of a fateful trip
That started from this tropic port,
Aboard this tiny ship.
The mate was mighty sailing man,
The skipper brave and sure…..”
For those of you who remember the TV show Gilligan’s Island, this theme was the opening of each show. This is how I like to think of the skipper of a ship.
Recent shipwrecks have left us with a much different opinion of the leader of a ship. Most notably, the Costa Concordia in Italy and the Sewol Ferry in South Korea, are examples of shipwrecks where the crew behaved less than admirably.
In 2012, thirty two were killedaboard the Costa Concordia when it capsized off
