Highlights:
The ST-class vessels are innovative and highly-flexible units for the widest possible range of project cargo. Loading and unloading of cargo can be handled in three completely different ways. Two heavy lift cranes can move cargo weighing up to 700 tons in tandem. El Consejo de Ministros ha aprobado un Acuerdo por el que se modifican los límites para adquirir compromisos de gasto con cargo a ejercicios futuros, a fin de posibilitar al Ministerio de Fomento la licitación del nuevo contrato para la prestación del servicio de las líneas marítimas de interés general que conectan Melilla con la Península.
La cuantía total entre los años 2015 y 2017, para el conjunto de los contratos de líneas de interés público, asciende a 37,35 millones de euros, que incluyen las líneas Península-Melilla, Algeciras-Ceuta y Península-Canarias.

UECC orders two Dual Fuel Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTC) with 1A super Finnish/Swedish ice class
United European Car Carriers (UECC), jointly owned by Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK) and Wallenius Lines, has signed a contract to construct two dual fuel LNG PCTCs.
The contract has been signed with Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) and the vessels will be constructed at the NACKS shipyard in Nantong, China which is a joint venture between KHI and China Ocean Shipping (Group) Company. Deliveries of both the vessels will be in the second half of 2016.
