The two companies have signed an ‘exclusive Teaming Agreement’ to bid for the Fleet Solid Support Ship (FSS) contract with BMT listed as an exclusive subcontractor should the team win the contract.
The teaming follows a troubled year for Harland and Wolff which went into administration last August and was later acquired by InfraStrata.
In a press release Team Resolute wrote: “Team Resolute combines 159 years of shipbuilding experience at one of the UK’s biggest shipyards, including the two largest dry docks in Europe, with unrivalled auxiliary design experience from UK designer BMT and a world-leading auxiliary shipbuilding track record from Navantia.”

Hijos de J. Barreras ya está bajo el control del armador de The Ritz Carlton de forma oficial. Y una de las primeras medidas que había que tomar es la renovación de los órganos de gobierno y del organigrama de gestión del astillero. Y eso es lo que ha ocurrido en las últimas horas.

Qatar Petroleum places big LNG carrier order with Chinese shipyards
Total value of the contract could reach US$3 billion, depending on requirements

QATAR Petroleum has signed an agreement to reserve LNG ship construction capacity at Chinese yards, in order to ensure that it can meet its future LNG carrier fleet requirements, including those related to the vast North Field expansion.
The agreement was entered into between Qatar Petroleum and Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding Group Co Ltd (Hudong), a wholly owned subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited (CSSC).
Under the terms of the agreement, a significant portion of Hudong's LNG ship construction capacity will be reserved for Qatar Petroleum up to 2027. The total value of the
