El barco accidentado en el que perdieron la vida dos de sus tripulantes fue remolcado hasta Ferrol donde será reflotado
El buque cerquero Sempre Güeto que naufragó el jueves frente a las costas de Cedeira (A Coruña) dejando dos marineros fallecidos, ha sido remolcado hasta al puerto exterior de Ferrol donde será reflotado para que los expertos en naufragios marítimos del Ministerio de Transportes (CIAIM) puedan comenzar la investigación para determinar las causas del hundimiento.
Como en otros casos, alguno muy reciente como el Sin Querer Dos que naufragó en diciembre de 2018, el hundimiento del cerquero gallego de 22 metros de eslora se hundió de forma súbita, sin dar tiempo a su tripulación a ponerse a salvo en las lanchas salvavidas.

Desde que en la madrugada del martes el buque de carga River Thames encallara en la Platja des Valencians, en Migjorn, no ha parado de crecer la expectación en Formentera. No es de extrañar, teniendo en cuenta que se trata de un carguero de 89 metros de eslora que se encuentra a escasos 300 metros de la playa.

The Japanese Coast Guard is searching for survivors after a ro-ro cargo ship collided with a chemical tanker and sunk in the Kurushima Strait in southern Japan. Nine crewmembers from the cargo ship have been rescued but the captain, first engineer, and second engineer remain missing.
The Japanese ro-ro Byakko, owned by the Prince Kaiun Co., departed Kobe on the afternoon of May 27 heading north for the port of Kanda. The 6,800 dwt vessel was less than a year old built to operate in coastal waters carrying up to 800 commercial vehicles and trailers. There was a crew of 12 aboard.

SINGAPORE: While Sri Lanka braces itself for a possible oil spill from a sunken Singapore-registered container ship, the vessel operator's chief executive on Thursday (Jun 3) expressed “deep regrets and apologies” for the impact that the incident has caused on livelihoods and the environment.
The container ship X-Press Pearl was carrying 1,486 containers, including 25 tonnes of nitric acid, when it caught fire on May 20 off the west coast of Sri Lanka. It burned for 13 days before the blaze was finally put out on Tuesday.
