With the summer tourist season beginning, the Cyprus Department of Merchant Shipping has issued a circular reminding operators of coastal passenger vessels of their obligation to submit a proper passenger manifest under the Ferry and Coastal Passenger Vessel Regulations of 2012 and to comply with the procedures set out in the regulations.

Artículo 266.
Capitanía Marítima. Funciones.
1. En aquellos puertos, o grupos de puertos, en los que se desarrolle un determinado nivel de actividades de navegación o lo requieran las condiciones de tráfico, seguridad o protección marítima, existirá una Capitanía Marítima.
Reglamentariamente se establecen los requisitos mínimos que respondan a los criterios enunciados en el párrafo anterior, así como el procedimiento para la creación de estos órganos periféricos.
