The former captain of the migrant rescue vessel ‘Sea-Watch 3’, Carola Rackete, has recently been cleared of all charges regarding the 2019 dispute over port access in Italy. Throughout the years, Rackete has been often criticized by the former Italian Minister of the Interior Matteo Salvini and other European right-wing leaders, who used her as a scapegoat to criminalize migration. It is thus important to look back at this case in order to further analyze the event and shed light on the controversies that have arisen from it.

TEXTO ORIGINAL
I.- El artículo 6 del Texto Refundido de la Ley de Puertos del Estado y de la Marina Mercante, aprobado por el Real Decreto Legislativo 2/2011, de 5 de septiembre, incluye en el concepto de Marina Mercante, entre otros, la seguridad marítima y la inspección técnica y operativa de buques y tripulaciones. Por otra parte, la Ley 14/2014, de 24 de julio, de Navegación Marítima, regula materias relativas a la ordenación administrativa de la navegación marítima, los vehículos empleados en esa navegación, incluida su seguridad, y los sujetos de la navegación, incluida la dotación de los buques.
Sobre estos cimientos legales se ha conformado en gran parte el cuerpo normativo reglamentario de Marina Mercante, que de manera constante evoluciona y se adapta al desarrollo de la técnica y

The rapid increase in cyber attacks on the maritime industry during the global pandemic has highlighted the inadequacies of the existing international legal framework and the urgent need for comprehensive and innovative international maritime cyber-security laws.
Professor Saiful Karim analysed the threats to maritime cyber security and called for a specific, international, enforceable legal regime to deal with these threats.
