Twenty years after opening for business, Channel Tunnel operator Eurotunnel finally sees a strong and profitable future, supported by record passenger traffic and a growing freight business.

The company, twice forced to refinance after construction cost overruns and over-optimistic traffic forecasts, said it benefited from a recovering British economy last year and saw solid trading in February. It also expects to pay corporation tax for the first time next year.

Me llamo Mary. Mary Maersk. Nací el 31 de agosto de 2013 en un astillero de Corea del Sur, en la ciudad de Busan, pero en realidad tengo nacionalidad danesa. Soy el primer carguero con nombre de chica de una nueva generación, la Triple-E, la de los cargueros más grandes del mundo. Somos seis hermanos gemelos navegando por los mares del planeta: Maersk Mc-Kinney Møller, Maersk Majestic, Marie Maersk, Madison Maersk, Magleby Maersk y yo.

Environmental report to delay Mundra ship recycling yard

The Indian Ministry of Environment and Forests has sought a detailed report on the proposed ship recycling facility by the Adani group at Mundra.

This is expected to cause delay in the start of the facility which the company had proposed to make operational within 12 months of receiving the mandatory clearances.

The proposed project involves development of a recycling facility adjacent to the existing West Port, in Mundra near Vandh village in Kutch district. The project area covers 40.74 hectares of reclaimed land created by dumping dredge spoils.

While deferring the decision on the project, the Environment Assessment Committee has demanded detailed information on aspects like measures to prevent the spillage of oil and paint waste on
