The Port of Milford Haven is a trust port with responsibility for over 22 miles of waterway and is one of the largest ports in the UK with over 5500 ship movements per year Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the above position. As Marine Officer you will be required to operate on a watch keeping basis and will be responsible for the routine operation of Port Control.Duties will include exercising control of all shipping movements within the Haven; monitoring movement of all craft/ vessels within the Haven visually, by radar, AIS and radio; and organising launches for Pilots. Collation of relevant information (manually and computerised) and preparing reports is also a feature of this post.An excellent communicator and co-ordinator, you will hold a V103 qualification or a STCW Certificate of Competency Certificate (Deck Department).
