Gondán entrega el primer remolcador de propulsión dual de Europa
El astillero asturiano Gondán ha entregado al armador noruego Østensjø Rederi A/S el primer remolcador de propulsión dual (gas-diésel) construido en Europa. Previamente se completó con éxito el programa de pruebas en el mar.
Diseñado por la compañía canadiense Robert Allan Ltd, este nuevo remolcador escolta construido en Figueras, en Castropol, tiene 40,2 metros de eslora y 16 metros de manga. Operará para la compañía sueca Statoil, en su terminal del extremo norte de Melkøya (Noruega), bajo condiciones climáticas severas. The Swedish government plans to introduce tonnage tax next year after more than a decade of lobbying by the country's shipowner community.
"In the Budget Bill for 2016, which is based on an agreement between the government parties and the Left Party, the government will propose the introduction of a Swedish maritime tonnage tax system. The purpose is to give Swedish shipping companies in international traffic competitive conditions equal to those of shipping companies in other European countries," the government said in a statement.
