New ergonomic Fusion 3D technology has been used to ensure the jacket's design is comfortable for continuous wear
Survitec Group has launched a new SOLAS lifejacket aimed at the industrial and commercial marine market. Developed under its Crewsaver brand, the new Seacrewsader 290N 3D is designed to provide increased levels of protection in the toughest and most extreme working environments.
Building on the success of the popular Seacrewsader 275N, the new lifejacket will appeal to companies that require a compliant lifejacket to satisfy regulations surrounding PPE assessments. It is aimed primarily at the oil and gas, commercial shipping and offshore wind farm industries.
New ergonomic Fusion 3D technology has been used to ensure the jacket's design is comfortable for continuous wear. The technology shapes the jacket to the wearer's body. This they claim, ensures it sits off the neck, giving the user total freedom of movement and comfort. This also provides greater protection in case of abandonment.
The 3D outer cover can be replaced when it is no longer fit-for-purpose or a change in application is required. Spare covers can be purchased separately including Fire Retardant and wipe clean options.
It can be worn with a Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) or Automatic Identification System (AIS). It can also be used in conjunction with a fall arrest harness for those operating at height.
This 290N twin chamber jacket also comes complete with plastic pockets allowing the owner to remove and replace service labels and donning instructions easily when covers are changed. All labels are fully waterproof to aid long life.
Other key product features include a high strength plastic quick release buckle, YKK QBZ Tri-burst zip, unique chin support, re-engineered bladder distribution, twin UML automatic inflator. There are options to include a spray hood, light and harness.
The Seacrewsader 290N 3D meets all SOLAS approvals, is available now and can be seen on Survitec Group’s stand (B137) at Seawork International 2015.
