Vecinos de Moaña tratan de salvar de la pala las dos carpinterías de ribeira afectadas por la construcción del paseo marítimo que pretende realizar el Concello con la financiación de la Consellería Medio Ambiente y Portos. Ayer se reunieron en el astillero de Casqueiro un nutrido grupo de personas que al son de las gaitas reivindicaban la conservación de estas viejas construcciones tradicionales con el fin de dar el siguiente paso que es el de la musealización.

New navy refuelling ships will be built offshore, with the Abbott government giving first preference to Spain and South Korea.

Defence minister David Johnston has announced the tender process for the urgently needed replacements of replenishment vessels HMAS Success and HMAS Sirius – but Australian shipbuilders won't be able to bid.

Instead, the battle will be between Spain's Navantia and South Korea's Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering.

El Pleno del Ayuntamiento de Cádiz ha aprobado por unanimidad una propuesta de "apoyo" a la estrategia del Gobierno de "revisar el veto comunitario que sufren los astilleros gaditanos" por el cual Navantia se dedica principalmente a la construcción de barcos militares, pudiendo sólo dedicar un 20 por ciento de su facturación al mercado civil y que estará vigente hasta el 2015.
